Because the sacraments unite us to Christ and his Body, the Church, all families preparing for sacramental
reception need to be parishioners and active members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. 

Baptisms are celebrated four times throughout the year. Baptismal preparation is required for both the parents and godparents.  Godparents must be at least 16 years old, must have received their Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, and if they are married they must be married through the Catholic Church. Parents are asked to call the Parish Office to set up an appointment for Baptisms with one of our Deacons. 

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.
